  • Intellectual (IQ) Assessment

    • An intellectual assessment is useful for adults or young people who are suspected of having an intellectual impairment. This would also form part of a learning disorder assessment.
  • Academic/Learning Assessment

    • A comprehensive learning disorder assessment with a child therapist will usually take 4 to 5 hours and investigates academic skills including reading, writing, mathematics and language skills, as well as selected cognitive skills including memory and attention. Academic assessment is useful for adults or children who are suspected of having a Specific Learning Disorder (e.g. Dyslexia).
  • Neuropsychological Assessment

    • Neuropsychological assessment is a comprehensive assessment of various cognitive skills/functions usually taking 4 to 6 hours. This assessment examines varied cognitive functions including, memory, attention/concentration, speed of information processing, language skills, visuospatial skills, and reasoning and problem solving skills.
      • Neuropsychological problems can arise from many factors, including:
        • Head injuries
        • Neurological disorders
          • Stroke
          • Epilepsy
          • Dementia
          • Brain tumours
  • Forensic Psychology¬†Assessment

    • Mind Wise Psychology offers specialised evidence based forensic assessments including the following:
      • Violence risk assessment
      • Sexual violence risk assessment
      • Assessment of domestic violence/spousal assault risk
      • Presentence or pretrial reports
      • Fitness to stand trial and soundness of mind
